Payment
All Educational, Institutional and Local or Health Authority orders are sent on credit account on receipt of a printed order form. For cash customers payment is by credit or debit card. We accept American Express, Mastercard and Visa cards. Payment is deducted on despatch of goods through Sagepay. If you have an existing credit account at M&W you are now able to purchase online on your account. You should shortly receive an e-mail from us to enable this function. Alternatively send us an e-mail and we shall talk you through the process.
Where orders are part despatched only the goods sent are charged. Subsequent completions of orders are charged on despatch. Carriage is only charged once for UK orders. For customers with credit accounts payment is strictly net payable 20 days from date of invoice.

Delivery of Orders
We aim to send orders within five working days and will only part despatch if there is a delivery delay. If goods have become unavailable we will sometimes offer an alternative.
Carriage and Packing – Mainland UK only
Unless notified otherwise, a standard charge of £10.00 + VAT will be made for carriage, administration and packing, regardless of weight, price or volume. All of these orders are despatched by a signed-for service which will be either Royal Mail or courier for delivery on the day after despatch. All of these signed-for orders are fully insured and trackable. Everything is measured, cut, packed and despatched from our Central London premises apart from tailors' dummies which are sent direct from the manufacturer. If you have selected the £5.00 + VAT 1st Class post option we do ask you to estimate if the items you have selected will fit in a 20cm x 26cm padded envelope. We do not recommend this option for high value items as we are unable to track its progress and you select it at your own risk. Please allow up to 10 working days for despatch of ordinary post orders.
Any special arrangements for urgent despatch can be accommodated. Any extra expense will be charged to the customer.
Rolled Fabrics – Mainland UK only
Due to increased carriage on large parcels any fabric that is wider than 110cms will be sent folded unless specifically requested otherwise. If your fabric is wider than 110cms and you would like it on a roll there is an additional £13 delivery charge. If you request in the notes that we send it rolled we shall contact you at point of despatch for the extra payment. It can sometimes be half folded and rolled on request at no extra charge.
Click & Collect
The Click & Collect facility allows you to reserve your items for collection at our store. Payment for reserved items is taken in full through our website prior to collection. There are NO Delivery charges and no waiting for the courier and you still benefit from the convenience and the ease of shopping online 24 hours a day. You will be required to show identification when collecting.
All Click & Collect orders must be collected from 25-26 Poland Street London W1F 8QN during shop hours and you will be notified when your order is ready. Please bear in mind that collating orders for many cut items can take a while, if you can let us know your degree of urgency in the 'delivery notes' section online then we shall aim to meet it.
Shortages, Damaged Goods & Returns
Please note that goods may be despatched in more than one parcel. If damages or shortages occur the Company should be notified within 3 working days of receipt. Lengths of fabric or trim that have been cut from a roll are deemed bespoke items and may not be returned unless agreed to be faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights. No returns accepted for cut goods or without prior notification. It is essential that any cloth is checked before cutting out as no faults can be accepted once the cloth has been cut into. Carriage is non-refundable. If you wish to return something which is not faulty it must be in a saleable condition and you must notify us within 14 days of the date of your invoice. Please include a copy of your invoice with your return. The return of the goods is your responsibility and we cannot process returns that we have not received.
Contracts
Customers are requested to apply to the Company for quotations for contracts.
Export Orders
All prices are net ex-warehouse. Freight, insurance, and packing for export is an extra charge of which you will be notified at the time of despatch if the charge exceeds £25.00. No charge over this amount will be made to your card without your prior authority. Payment by Pro-Forma invoice is required unless a credit account is already open. From January 1st 2021 countries in the EU will no longer be subject to UK vat. You may be charged local and import taxes on delivery, please ensure that you are aware of any local regulations, all of our export orders are accompanied by a document quoting our EORI number and commodity codes for all items contained in the order.
Colour
The colours on this site will be affected by the settings of the monitor on which they are viewed and can therefore only be an approximation of the actual textile shade. If an accurate match is required we request that you send a swatch for matching.
Cut Goods
Any item that has to be cut from a roll is considered bespoke and may not be returned.
Privacy Policy
MacCulloch & Wallis do not share information with any third parties. Payments are encrypted and card details are not saved. If a card number is given over the telephone by a customer in order to take immediate manual payment not via the secure site then the details are physically shredded at that point. Cookies are used on this site to track your progress through the site and to maintain the contents of your shopping basket. This is to enable your computer to 'remember' where you've been and to speed up the process on future visits. It also enables the retention of delivery addresses. Cookies can be disabled via the green diamond in the left hand bottom corner of your screen. We do send occasional newsletters to which you may unsubscribe from the bottom of the newsletter. If you would prefer never to receive them please e-mail us at mailorder@macculloch.com and we shall remove you from our mailing list.
